A week ago, I saw a video about the new innovation from Samsung on Facebook. This video caught my attention since many of my faceboook friends shared it and liked it.
The ad tells a story of how a distance could make a couple missed their precious moment together. So Samsung wants to help two people who were separated by distance to be able to share important moment together by the presence of the world’s first live virtual reality birth called Samsung Gear VR.
Check out this beautiful 3 minutes advertising by Samsung !! It will definitely move your heart.
This ad has attracted viewers because of its originality and creativity. This video also has its own hash tag called #lifeLIVE. Not only #lifeLIVE, Samsung also create another hash tag called #SharkDive which basically provides the experience of diving with sharks by using Samsung Gear VR

As this ad has spread over Youtube and Facebook, Samsung Gear VR has already known by many people and received good response from society for its design, performance, features, and value.
This Samsung advertisement is one of the examples of Social Media marketing, which is a component of Internet marketing under Digital marketing.

For the last couple of years, researchers has proven that social media is the one that is obtaining a lot of attention. Millions of people spend much of their time for checking their Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Twitter and other social media program. This is a signal for digital marketers to make social media as a part of the digital marketing campaigns.

its a very cool invite took from Samsung, considering as I am a international student away from home, to able how to see around the home probably will make me feel closer to home and less home sick. Thx for sharing

Yes, i also think its a good invention from Samsung, especially when the camera can rotate by itself only with the movement of our head, it makes it more real! Thanks for your opinion 🙂

I actually found out about samsung VR from facebook as well! A lot of links appear on my facebook feed and I decided to watch it in the end and it is actually interesting, how technology has grown these days and now we have a virtual reality technology that can connect us more with the people we love but is currently away from us. Love this new invention!! Great post!!

It’s a very great post. Indeed, digital marketing plays important role nowadays, especially in promoting new inventions in technology. Obviously, it helps to spread the word and bring them in the community a lot faster. On the other hand, I believe VR invention could establish new lines of business, as such it creates new possibilities that people would not have thought couple years back e.g watching concert at home without really having to be in the venue or even first-person movies that allow people to observe scenes in anyway they like.

Indeed it’s amazing seeing how technology has brought us this far. In my opinion, VR invention is really helpful; looking at how people in different parts of the world could be connected just by a single push of a button. And to be honest, digital marketing plays an important role in promoting new stuff to people. I wouldn’t have known that Samsung has a VR gear if it’s not from this blog. And by the way, it is a great post!

I think that virtual reality will be huge in the future. This gadget and its competitor will be used in many fields such as engineering, health, telecomunication, etc. This gadget may also eliminates technology like tv or handphones if they have the technology in the future. Great post! 🙂

Samsung is the first company to advertise their Virtual Reality product although it is not necessarily the first company to produce it as Samsung also create the product with Oculus Rift. It is interesting to see how they advertise it for daily life because before, Virtual Reality goggle such as Oculus Rift was only known for gaming or PC use. But in this advertisement they can misled common people that Samsung Gear can be use for everything while the fact is they can only be use for mobile phones only in particular Samsung phones especially with competitors such as HTC are going to produce Virtual Reality goggle as well that can be use with other devices other than mobile phones.

I think Samsung wants to introduce Gear VR to people that this innovation has more advantageous function to people rather than just being used for gamers. Unfortunately, Gear VR only compatible with samsung products. Thanks for your information 🙂

Have to say its a smart move by Samsung promoting from Facebook that generated a lot of attention with its cool features too ! But still think that it would take a while to be a hit in the market.
